Our story
Hi! I’m Maria, I’m the face behind Kindness in a Box!
In 2020, my family went through a difficult & traumatizing event. During my recovery, I was sent some very kind and thoughtful gifts.
These simple gifts brought me so much joy and literally pulled me out of a dark place. I was determined to show the kindness that I felt to others and so, started sending little gifts to anyone I knew needed encouragement.
As I was sending gifts I became frustrated that I could not find the exact, "perfect" curated gift boxes, so I started making my own - and that's how this business got started!
I hope anyone who receives a gift box will feel the same joy in knowing they are not alone and that someone is thinking about them.
